Prerequisites

• None. However, you will need to have a good level of English to be able to understand heath and safety concepts and discuss them in your exam

Assessment

• There are two assessments for the NEBOSH General Certificate:
  
  IG 1 ( Theory )
  
  
  • •  Unit IG1 is assessed by a scenario based assessment completed at home. You shall have 24 hours to complete this. Refer Open Book Exams .
  • •  Access your course material /notes/ digital source
  • •  A Closing Interview will be conducted by an Interviewer
  • •  Minimum pass standard: 45 marks

  • •  Practical Assessment
  • •  Minimum pass standard: 100 marks
  • •  Submissions by notified date - handwritten or electronic. Preferred is electronic

  • •  Certification is awarded to the candidates who achieve a minimum of “PASS” standard in both IG1 and IG2

Qualification Grades

• The qualification grade is based on the result from Unit IG1


• •   Distinction: 75 marks or higher
• •   Credit: 65 – 74 marks
• •   Pass: 45 – 64 marks

Exams

• •   Open Book Exams (OBE) are held every 2 months throughout the year as announced by NEBOSH for each year.
• •  Learners must be registered before they can take an examination. All examination registrations must be completed with us by noified date. Please speak to us for the next available date and to register.
• •  Confirmation of registration for Open Book Exams by due date is mandator to sit in OBE .

• Following receipt of your Confirmation of Registration email for your OBE, NEBOSH will send you a further email containing your Username and Password for the NEBOSH online examination platform. If you have not received this email please remember to check your spam folders

Issue of Certificates

• Certificates will be issued to the successful candidates usually within 20 working days from the declaration of the result date

Resit

• If you do not pass both or either of the unit, you can book a resit. Fee shall apply
